The first part of this project was a Major Research Project for OCAD University's Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. This thesis will serve as the initial manuscript for a book to be published by the end of 2020. There is still additional research that needs to be completed, as well as a suite of figures and illustrations. You can think of this text as the 0.8 version of that book.
Presently, he is leading a design research team looking into automotive interiors for the rapidly growing aging population. Previously, Sergio has worked on a Regulatory Innovation Framework for Transport Canada, a Municipal Innovation Procurement Toolkit for the Government of Ontario, an Economic Development Strategy for Autonomous Transit, and an Automated Vehicle Deployment Framework for the City of Toronto.
Prior to joining the MaRS Solutions Lab, Sergio worked in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. This included co-founding and leading two non-profit organizations. His interdisciplinary background includes, urbanism, strategy and education. He holds a B. in Architecture and a M.Des. in Strategic Foresight and Innovation.
